Your library
Premiera stores tracked movies and shows, watch history, ratings, favorites, notes, lists, and preferences on your device. On Apple devices, your library can sync through your private iCloud database when iCloud is available, and app preferences such as appearance, streaming region, streaming services, sorting and swipe actions can sync through your private iCloud key-value storage. The developer does not operate a library or settings server and cannot access that private iCloud data through the app.
On Android, the library is stored in the app's local database and is excluded from Android automatic cloud backup. The Wear OS companion exchanges a library snapshot and watched actions with your paired phone through Google Play services. Android and Apple do not share a live cloud library. You can move your library using a Premiera JSON backup.
Release reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Premiera has no advertising, developer analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. You do not create a Premiera account.
Optional Google Drive sync on Android
In builds that offer Google Drive Sync, you can connect a Google account from Backup & Restore. Premiera requests access only to its private application-data folder in Google Drive, not to your other Drive files. Your library, watched episodes, ratings, favorites, notes, lists and list memberships are uploaded there and synchronized between connected Android devices. Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. Premiera stores the selected account email and an account identifier on your device to show and verify the connected account. Access tokens are used in memory and are not sent to the developer. Local library changes and deletions are merged with cloud changes; conflicting edits to the same field resolve deterministically, while changes to separate fields are preserved. In newer builds with expanded sync, supported appearance, color, library layout, sorting, filtering, swipe-action and streaming-region/service preferences are also included. Notification preferences, title-mute choices, account credentials, purchase state, transient navigation and downloaded episode/image caches stay on the device. Google Drive and iCloud remain separate libraries.
Disconnecting stops future synchronization on that device and retains local and cloud copies. Removing the app also does not erase Drive data. To erase retained cloud sync files, disconnect Premiera on all Android devices and use Google Drive Settings → Manage apps → Premiera → Options → Delete hidden app data. You can also revoke access through your Google account’s third-party connections. Removing local data while disconnected does not remove cloud copies.
Requests to other services
TMDB: Your device requests movie and TV metadata and images directly from TMDB over HTTPS. Search text, import-derived title/year matching queries, external title identifiers, and TMDB title identifiers may be sent for these features. TMDB also receives the network address used for the connection. Premiera does not add an advertising identifier or a Premiera account identifier. TMDB's own privacy policy governs its handling of these requests.
TVmaze: In versions that display episode releases in your device’s time zone, your device requests exact episode air times directly from TVmaze over HTTPS. These requests contain only show identifiers (such as TVDB or IMDb IDs, or TVmaze's own ID) and season and episode numbers for tracked shows with episodes airing soon; TVmaze also receives the network address used for the connection. No account, advertising identifier or viewing history is sent. These requests support local release dates and release status even when notifications are off or use the daily notification time. Exact air times also support reminders when an episode airs or a set time before it airs. Earlier versions request these air times only when timed release notifications are enabled. TVmaze's own privacy policy governs its handling of these requests.
TheTVDB fallback schedules: In builds with this feature, when TVmaze has no usable episode time, Premiera sends the public TVDB series ID and season/episode numbers to its scheduling proxy on premieraapp.com, hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare receives the connection network address. The proxy requests metadata from TheTVDB using a server-held developer key and caches successful scheduling responses for six hours. It does not receive your account identity, watch marks, ratings, notes or full library. TheTVDB receives the proxy connection address and catalog identifiers. Series schedules are estimates and can differ from actual episode availability. Missing data or failed requests retain date-only behavior.
JustWatch: Streaming availability comes from JustWatch through TMDB. Merely displaying that data does not send a request directly to JustWatch. Opening a provider or attribution link takes you to the linked website or app, whose privacy terms apply.
Apple iCloud: Apple processes private library and app-preference synchronization under your Apple account and its own terms. Sync depends on your iCloud settings, connectivity, and available storage.
Trakt, disabled in version 1.0: Trakt account linking and synchronization are unavailable in this release on every platform. Version 1.0 does not send requests to Trakt or exchange viewing history with it. Importing a Trakt data export file is a separate on-device feature described under Imports and exports. If you linked Trakt in an earlier development build, existing authorization tokens can remain in the device's Keychain and local history or pending synchronization state can remain stored, but version 1.0 does not use them to contact Trakt. Disabling the feature does not delete information already held by Trakt. You can revoke earlier Premiera access through your Trakt account's connected-app controls and manage or delete previously synchronized history in Trakt itself. Trakt's privacy policy continues to apply to information it already holds.
External links: When you open TMDB, a streaming-provider website, or a support link, the destination receives the ordinary information associated with that visit. Optional links such as Watch Trailer (YouTube) and IMDb pages for movies, shows, episodes, and people open outside Premiera, in your browser or that service's app. Premiera does not embed YouTube, IMDb, or their players and does not contact them unless you open such a link. The service you open, such as YouTube or IMDb, handles that visit under its own terms and privacy policy.
Imports and exports
Files you select from TV Time, Simkl, Letterboxd, a Trakt data export (a ZIP or JSON files you download from Trakt), or a Premiera backup are processed on your device. Import files are not uploaded. Importing a Trakt export reads only the files you choose; it does not link your Trakt account or send requests to Trakt. Matching titles can send the limited queries described above to TMDB. Exported files are saved or shared only to destinations you choose. Export and import controls are available in the main apps; the watch apps do not provide file import or export.
Purchases
Premiera remains free to download and use for core tracking. In builds offering Premiera Pro, an optional one-time in-app purchase unlocks additional features. Apple or Google processes payment; Premiera does not receive your card or bank details. The app uses store-provided purchase and entitlement information to unlock Pro, restore purchases and respond to refunds or revocations. Premiera does not operate a purchase-account server or use purchase information for advertising.
Saved smart-list rules and insight-card customization stay on the device. Smart-list rules are not included in library JSON backups or cloud library sync. Insight cards are generated locally and shared only when you choose a destination. Delete All Data removes saved smart-list rules as well as the library, but does not cancel or erase your store purchase.
Support and this website
If you email the developer, your email address, message, attachments, and replies are received and used to answer your request. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or a full viewing backup unless it is necessary for support and you choose to share it. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to address the request, maintain necessary support records, or meet applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion by email.
This website is hosted through Cloudflare. The site's own pages do not add advertising, analytics scripts, third-party fonts, or advertising/tracking cookies. Cloudflare processes connection and request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and technical traffic information, to deliver and secure the website. Security features may use necessary cookies. Cloudflare's handling of this information is described in its Privacy Policy. The developer does not use website logs to build advertising profiles.
Email sent to support@premieraapp.com is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the developer’s support mailbox provided through Apple iCloud Mail. Cloudflare and Apple process the message and associated technical information to deliver it under their respective Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy. Hosting and email providers may process information in countries other than your own; their applicable privacy terms describe safeguards and retention. The developer does not promise a specific provider retention period or storage country.
For information handled by the developer, support and website-security processing serves the legitimate interests of answering requests and operating a secure, working service. Information may also be retained where necessary to meet a legal obligation. The developer does not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
Your local library remains until you remove records or remove the app's local data. Settings → Delete All Data in the main apps permanently deletes the whole library after two confirmations; on Apple devices the deletion syncs through iCloud to your other devices, and on Android the paired Wear app is cleared too. Deleting a tracked title removes its associated data through the app; allow Apple devices to synchronize changes when using iCloud. Uninstalling an Apple app does not by itself guarantee that its private iCloud data, other devices' copies, Keychain items, or exported backups are deleted. Manage iCloud data using Apple's account and storage controls where available. Trakt synchronization is disabled in version 1.0. If you used Trakt in an earlier development build, revoke that earlier access through Trakt and manage previously synchronized history in Trakt itself; removing this app does not delete that third-party history.
On Android, uninstalling or clearing Premiera's storage removes the phone's local database. Clear the Wear app's storage as well to remove its separate copy. Delete exported backups from every place you saved them. Removing a local file does not remove copies you shared elsewhere.
Premiera does not have a developer-hosted library or Premiera account to delete. For support correspondence or questions about your data, email the developer. Data already sent to third-party services is also subject to their retention rules and rights-request procedures.
Your choices and changes
You can use local tracking without creating a Premiera account, decline notification permission, choose which files to import or export, and decide whether to use iCloud. Depending on applicable law, your privacy rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to processing of information held by the developer. Contact the address above to exercise these rights. You can also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority. This policy will be revised when the app's data practices change.

Expanded settings sync
Newer builds also synchronize Apple Watch library pins through iCloud. Notification timing, notification filters and per-title notification mute choices stay on each device in these builds; earlier Apple versions may have synchronized some notification preferences. These changes apply to installed builds that include expanded settings sync and do not announce public availability. Apple and Google account storage remain separate.
